September 2026

  • Permissive secret naming is now available to all workplaces. Classic naming remains the default, and an Owner can switch a workplace to Permissive to allow lowercase letters, names that start with a number, and the characters _, /, :, ., and -, such as payments/stripe.api_key.
  • Added a Dynamic variable type to Vercel syncs that stores unmasked Doppler secrets as Vercel Config variables and masked or restricted Doppler secrets as Vercel Secret variables.
  • Added the ability for users with Manage Settings permission to revoke all personal and CLI tokens across a workplace
  • Added the ability to rename a project, delete a project, and manage secret referencing and config inheritance directly from the overflow menu on the project list page. The pin/unpin action has also moved into that menu.
  • Secret reference components can now be quoted, so secrets whose names contain a period can still be referenced. For example, ${<project>.dev."TARGET.NAME"} references a secret in another project's dev config.
  • Fixed a bug where configs inheriting a branch config weren't flagged as having changed when the change originated from the inherited branch's root config being modified.
  • Fixed CircleCI secret limits so the maximum secret count is only enforced on contexts.
  • Fixed an issue where Vercel syncs did not send an explicit visibility value when writing environment variables.
  • Doppler On-prem: Fixed a bug that prevented instance admins from promoting existing users to an instance admin role.
